Preparation for an interview
One of the basic differences between applicants could be the level of their preparedness for the interview. Preparation can help one become familiar with the company and the position offered, and also shows that candidate’s true interest for the position. The following basic employer related information is required for the preparation:

- What is the size of the company?
- Is it a group of companies, or a subsidiary?
- What is the company’s profile?
- What services they provide?
- Which sector it operates in, who are its major customers, partners and competitors?
- It may be useful to search the internet and the printed media for any news or reports on the company, and its plans for the future
- It is important to review the company’s home page before the interview
Besides obtaining information about the company, it is also important to be familiar with the job offered.
